Thank you for visiting my website!
I am adding product and photos daily and trying to get everything ready on this site. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
I have been drawing, painting or making things since I can remember. I took art classes each year through high school and majored in art at Boise State University having my art selected for the college art show. Moving to the Wood River Valley in 1973 only expanded the opportunity to learn new methods and use new mediums that I didn’t learn in school. I am self-taught in scratchboard, watercolor and using glazes on pottery. In 1987 I took a graphite drawing class from Loree McNee which began a career in pet portraits that continues today.
One of my great joys is painting portraits of the birds I study at the banding station on Lucky Peak Mountain in Boise, ID, bird banding is done by the Intermountain Bird Observatory. I have done an Artist-in-Residency at Craters of the Moon National Monument (2015), one piece represented the Rocky Mountain Region at the United States Botanic Garden in Washington DC for their art show "Flora of the National Parks - A Celebration for the 100th Anniversary of the National Parks 2016". In 2018 I will be the featured artist at The Hagerman Bird Festival in Idaho and the spring will bring me to another AiR at the City of Rocks National Reserve in Southeast Idaho. I now work mostly in watercolor on panels that are covered with a paper ground making them easy to hang right on the wall without framing.
